Ok, when we left off, Rufus threw a big “look at me” celebration… and the prevailing response appears to have been “yeah, man. We see you.” And that wasn’t even the worst part of his year.
That ending was something else. Stallar job as always.
When we lived in the New Forest, we used to go to a pub called the “Sir Walter Tyrrel”, next to a place called “Rufus Stone”. I never really knew the significance until now. Great job!
Brilliantly written – darkly funny and extremely listenable. This was basically the only thing I knew about William Rufus before I listened to this podcast, and going into this much detail about William Rufus makes it a much richer story than I thought it was.
In general these last few episodes have absolutely opened my eyes to an interesting historical character that I knew virtually nothing about before (except this one event)
