  1. When we lived in the New Forest, we used to go to a pub called the “Sir Walter Tyrrel”, next to a place called “Rufus Stone”. I never really knew the significance until now. Great job!

  2. Brilliantly written – darkly funny and extremely listenable. This was basically the only thing I knew about William Rufus before I listened to this podcast, and going into this much detail about William Rufus makes it a much richer story than I thought it was.

    In general these last few episodes have absolutely opened my eyes to an interesting historical character that I knew virtually nothing about before (except this one event)
