  1. Hiya, long time listener and supporter, first time commenter.
The citation of JK Rowling and Harry Potter for magical, and musical, references is understandable – the franchise is a media powerhouse.
However, with Rowlings increasingly radical – near obsessive – anti trans comments over the last few years, their mention did come with a bitterness that caught in my throat.
From asserting that gay people weren’t persecuted in the holocaust to harassing an Olympic boxer for not being The Approved Female, there are plenty of reasons to distance oneself from her and Harry Potter.
This may be something echoed by other listeners, but if I am the first time say it, then I would recommend examining the hurt she has committed, and is enthusiastic in commiting to the LGBTQ Community. Maybe it will give you pause when using HP as a reference in the future.
    Cheers

  2. You want to censor an entire franchise based on comments made by the author? Where were you when he was reading from H.P. Lovecraft?

  3. You may want to re-look at the angel and the so-called biblical order to sacrifice a son. The angel does not do that-it’s god’s covenant and god’s order to Abraham to stay his hand once the heart was bound to god; the angel is used to ensure the message. You should want such an angel around you, don’t you think?
