Interesting comments on Blood Feuding as a deterrent. These old social mechanisms were definitely a little more direct than current ones today. However, I once took an Anthropology class which discussed the effect of firearms on similar customs in West Africa, and it wasn’t pretty. Makes the Hatfields and McCoys look like a dodgeball game at recess.
Listening to this episode (especially 2:55) made me wonder, would you considere Donald Trump to be your overlord now?? ;)
