Hi Folks,I absolutely love the podcasts, and have been learning loads.  I am lucky enough to live fairly close to my work, and try and walk in some days just to listen to the podcasts.    About me: I'm a pre-tenure college professor, so I seem to always be working.  I have two great kids and although I'm American, my wife from the British nation that is best at rugby.    We used to live not too far south of Portland, OR, back in the day, and we miss giant trees and lots of rain.  We like to head out to the local mountains to hike and camp when we can, or snowshoe or ski this time of year.  I'm looking forward to trying out some of the video games recommended in the forums--I love strategy games, but am not really good at them.    I suppose that's about it.  I am also listening to the History of Rome, and the History of Philosophy Without any Gaps podcasts, but this one is by far my favorite.

I'm in a geology department, so I teach many things geological and geophysical.  It's pretty fun, and it's Spring Break here, so I am deep into research this week (also good fun).
