    You mention in “The Island at the Edge of the World – Part 1” that Neanderthals invaded Britain previously. Is this to be taken literally? Maybe I just missed something in an earlier podcast :)

    Yeah, there were Neanderthals in Britain.  :)  In fact, a couple years ago there was a find that pushed the date for their arrival back a bit.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10206677

    Interesting. I would normally have considered neanderthals so be localised to somewhere around France/Germany, but I guess it isnt that far from France if you have the posibility of walking across the Channel. But my next question will then be, how can they tell that those flint tools were made by a neanderthal and not HS?  ;D
