Hi Everyone. I'm new here; I have been enjoying the BHP for a couple months now, and I decided it was time to do what I could to help support it.I am an aspiring history teacher from Detroit, and have recently come to the realization that I am, in fact, a true anglophile. There's no sense in denying it any longer.Last year, my wife and I spent two weeks in the UK (one week in London, and another week traveling around: Richmond, Canterbury, Cambridge, Ely, Walsingham, Oxford/Cotswolds, Salisbury, Winchester, Windsor) and have not stopped talking about our experiences. I'll post pics when they are relevant to the current podcast topic.Anyway, it's a real pleasure to be a part of this. Best of luck, Jamie. Keep up the good work!p.s. my avatar is a picture of me at Borough Market in Southwark.

I'm finishing up my certification as we speak and throwing in a masters degree for good measure. I have a couple more classes and a semester of student teaching and then I'm done. I plan to teach middle school (6th-8th grades). Is there a post somewhere on the forum that explains all the items in the left-hand column? Thanks.

That's really cool!  There isn't a list of things, but there really should be.  So the top title indicates whether you're a member and how long.  The second title shows how much you've been posting here.  After that is your banner (which is tied to when you became a member).  Karma is how many people have hit "applaud" on your posts.  Posts is just a post count.  And then you just have your icon and stuff.
