Hey all, I'm Lucas (Luke for short), and I've been listening to the podcast for a few months now - kinda sorta. The catch is that I have been more or less catching up to the rest of you as time allows. I figured I would finally sign up for the forum and check everything out as I am a big fan of history in general. I also can trace my about three or four lines of my family to Britain/that area, and though I was born in the US, I'm pretty big on my family history and the culture in Britain and surrounding isles. Um, a bit about myself then? I am 25. I am wrapping up undergraduate school and considering whether or not to go directly into grad school or spend time working and paying off my loans before I apply. On a serious note, I've been seriously considering offering my loan company my first born child in exchange for leniency, so I may ask advice (especially legal) on that matter, but we'll see...  ;) But anyways, I digress. My major is film/tv production and my goal in regards to grad school is - more than likely - to continue along that path. Although I recently got my TEFL certification (teaching english as foreign language) and the CELTA certification (same thing, just  spiffy) and have thought about spending time overseas teaching english and then coming back and going into education. We'll have to see how that works out, right? Right. That's pretty much all I can think of at the moment as it is friday and my brain turns itself off after work.  ;D  So, I look forward to catching up, chatting with everyone, and just thoroughly enjoying a fantastic podcast. Oh! And I'm from Eugene, Oregon and am stoked that Jamie lives in Portland. :)Cheers, ~L

Undergrad in Eugene… so is it fair to assume you're a Duck?Let me know how the loan negotiation works out, because I'd be willing to do the same thing at this point. ;)And welcome to the forums!

You would be correct, I am a Duck. Though this is my last term. I will definitely let you know, lol. Thanks.
