This looks like itll be a good program, its on next tuesday at 21:00 on BBC Four for all of us in the UK. Presented by historian Michael Wood whose programs I always enjoy http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b038118n

I've really enjoyed the first two of these on Youtube but the third, on Aethelstan hasn't shown up yet.  Iplayer won't work for those of us outside of the UK.

I happen to work for a company with a UK office and – don't ask me how – the internet thinks I am in the UK even though I'm not. This is nice, but not very useful (although I have, on occasion, stayed late to watch something. I didn't bill them of course.) For home I find that http://www.tunnelbear.com/ is nice and easy to use. You get 500 MB a month for free and for the "price" of a tweet they up it to 1 GB. That's enough for at least a couple of programs every month. Plus it has different location settings, so you can watch geoblocked US (and German and possibly other countries') content too.
