Hello, I always hate introductions as I feel quite awkward, but I'll try my best. Anyway, I'm Shawn. I was a member in the past but because of the hectic nature of my life (I have a full time job plus I'm working on a PhD part time) I decided to drop my podcast addiction. Needless to day, like an addict, I couldn't stay away forever so I'm back. I really enjoy this podcast as well as the History of Byzantium podcast. Both are well done. As a history teacher and historian I'm always impressed by the job Jamie does in taking a ton of information and making it easy for the average person to understand. And, like Jamie I'm a HUGE Liverpool football fan! YNWA Jamie!Shawn

BHP and PhD sound like they're meant to be friends.  Welcome back, fellow addict!

Hello again all, I'm sorry for not responding to the great welcome messages. Life gets in the way and all that stuff. Anyway, to answer a few questions: I teach International Baccalaureate History of the Americas (we focus on three topics: Civil Rights in the Americas; Political developments in Latin America (from 1945-1981) and the Cold War in the Americas (1945-1981); I also teach AP US history and AP European History. And no I don't mind the questions. :)Yes, the BHP and the PhD go hand in hand. I love the way Jaimie is able to narrate the story of British history. You do an amazing job!YNWA!
