Hey folksName's Chris, fresh off the back off of Yale's history lectures (youtube), and The History of Rome podcast, I discovered this brilliant show! (Yes, I'm on a bit of a history binge, and loving it.)I work in a visual industry which means I get long periods of time to listen to things, and so far Jamie has kept me entertained and informed (and sane at work) for 36 episodes, which is awesome. I'm British and involved with podcasts myself, so I have a great respect for the production of this show, and thought I should check out it's community, I'm also used to listening to Americans presenting 'PG13', so I'm getting a big kick out of hearing a US accent swear like a brit :Pgot at least 30 more episodes to listen to to catch up, so I'll get back to it (and probably tweet about it a bit more - sorry) but thanks for this great show and incite into our vast history! And hello all!

Hey Chris, welcome to the community!  So how are you involved in podcasts?

Thanks :)I do artwork for the Dawnforge network, and (until this week) presented http://www.obscurecast.com - which I imagine took an 8th of the amount of work it must take to put out your great show, was decidedly less high-brow and probably had the opposite effect on the listeners IQ  :Ps'good fun though.

Haha, I don't know if I'd describe my show as high brow.  I think I trash the Roman elite a little too much to be able to have that title.  ;)So are you going to return to it after things settle down (or start a new show) or are you retiring from podcasting?

I dunno – made a welcome (and wonderfully swear-laden ;D) counter viewpoint to The History of Rome's (brilliant but) generally pro-roman viewpoint. What did the Romans ever do for us?!  ::)I'm hoping to get thing going again eventually, when real life stops kicking my ass, but there's talk of me co-hosting another show on the network before that, who knows... What pop-screen do you use btw? I have a snowball as well and really should fit a screen.

    I'm using a 6″ Nady pop filter.
