Greetings,Stumbled across the podcast about a month or so ago, been trying to catch up ever since.  I must say this is an enjoyable podcast.  As to about me, I am a history lover who became a chemist and then became a brewer.  I live in the true land of craft beer (the northeast, that west coast beer thing is soooo over rated) and am starting up a small brewery.Yep, that about covers me, except for the fact I am a rabid Pats fan (okay maybe rabid is not the word that should be used), and I follow a footy team that plays in the Kop.D

Welcome Dammy!Whats your favorite Northeast brew? I don't know if Dogfish head counts, but I can't get enough of that stuff myself.

Those are fighting words, Dammy.  I'll put Cascade and Russian River up against your Dogfish head any day.  And don't get me wrong, Raison D'etre is some mighty fine (and raisin-y... also pun-y) beer.  But come on, you know we're the king of beer over here.  :)There's a reason one of our many nicknames is Hoptopia... another one is Beervana. Also, welcome to the forums!

Personally I was not thinking Dogfish head, I tend to run with:Double IPA: Heady Topper from The AlchemistIPA: Lunch from Maine Brewing (also standards in my fridge are Stowaway from Baxter, and Long Trail IPA from Long Trail)Belgians and uniques: Allagash (Belgian) and Pretty Things (unique)Then you have such brewery as:Hill Farmstead in VT (fantastic, mostly IPAs, but many more)The Prodigal Brewery in NH (all lagers)Wormtown in MAThe soon to open High Jinx in RI (my own plug)New England Brewing in CTAnd these are just breweries, I could go into Brew Pubs at anytime.  And this is just New England, I did not include NY, PA, or the rest of the North East on this one.Of course in my opinion, local is always better, and fresh is even better.  Once it hits the container trucks to go across country it begins to lose something.D
