Really excited as I've managed to book tickets for kings the Viking exhibition at the British Museumhttp://www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/exhibitions/vikings.aspx

I'm a member there and go whenever I can. I plan to be in London on the 5th of April to visit the Maritime Museum to see the Turner exhibit that they have as a special event. I will probably stop over at the British Museum that afternoon to see the Vikings. Anyone know if the Anglo-Saxon exhibit has reopened? Now that Jamie has been treating us to a lot of that history I think I will get more out of that area of the museum. I tend to usually just hang out in the Roman and Egyptian areas. But explore a lot of the other bits too.

I don't go there as often as I should do. My friend and I do try and go to a minimum one of the special exhibitions a year. I'm looking forward to seeing this one. When I go I tend to go in the British/Anglo Saxon area but didnt last time as it was closed but they had moved the Sutton Hoo artifacts to a different area so I did get to see them again. I've got tickets for the 28th March and we always have a quick nose around after so I could always have a look and let you know if theyve reopened it

That was the problem I had last time I was there too. The Sutton-hoo stuff was moved to the new area that was under construction. I try to go there a couple of times a year. Always great stuff to see!!! The Pompeii exhibit was really very interesting. I had been to Pompeii a few years back, but you did not get to see the artifacts that were taken from the site.

I went to Pompeii ages ago so it was good to see artifacts and I loved the commentary by historians, especially Mary Beard. I still need to visit Herculaneum though

Same for me too. I need to get to Herculaneum as well. One of my co-workers goes to Sorento all the time for work. I get stuck going to French Riviera for work!  ::)
