From today's Guardian – what a new citizenship test for the UK might loook like.  See how you do (whether you are a citizen or not!):http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/blog/quiz/2012/jul/05/uk-citizenship-testSome good questions - 13/15 for me.  I get to keep my passport!

I managed to score 12/15 which i guess is not that bad for saying I'm only 16 years old. Anyway thanks for sharing this citizenship test, i really enjoyed answering the questions.

Only 9/15 for me. :(  Most embarrassing one to fail was the one on Wales — since I completed an entire course in Welsh History less than a year ago!

Got 9/15, but I have only ever been to Britain twice in my life.

13/15!  I've never been to England before, I guess I just am kind of obsessed with English history.  lol  ;D

11/15 for me.  Before listening to this podcast, I probably would have gotten 5/15. :)

I didn't do so well, either.  (10/15)But The Guardian now has an updated version?  Easier?  Well, for some of us, yes. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/quiz/2013/jan/27/british-citizenship-test-quiz-new

Sshh! You're not meant to brag! After all, that's not very British...I know this because the results screen for people who got 10/10 tells you not to boast.(bugger)

Well as a Welsh girl with Scottish and Irish ancestors I think along with being short, with a slight red tint in the hair, pale skin and freckles I might have inherited more of a Celtic woman traits that overpower any inbuilt British reserve. We all remember what Ammianus Marcellinus said about Celtic women “…a whole band of foreigners will be unable to cope with one Celt in a fight, if he calls in his wife" ;) ;) ;) ;)

13/15. Who knew that engineers arrived in the Middle Ages? The Welsh thing did for me too.

I'm now confused. Are engineers supposed to be Welsh?

10/15, which apparently is a fail. Good job I now live in the south of France lol.Something to do with learning science instead of history, no option to do both to O level in my day.

Exactly the same two questions for me :-)13/15 - so do I now automatically get an UK passport  ;)So that's clearly a proof that listining to a lot of history podcasts really helps  ;D

First post here.I got 13 out of 15 on the first one and 7 out of 10 on the second one.  I'm pretty happy about it since I'm an American and all.  I've only been to England once, but I want to go back.

Well, 12/15 for me, not too bad for an Aussie – While I might now qualify for a British Passport, if I am not mistaken, before the UK joined the Common Market I would not have needed one, and I think also going back to the 1960s we even used British passports!
