Love computer games but am not big on paying for complex ones that I don't know whether I will like or not.One I don't see mentioned on here is a fabulous, FREE web-based game based on the campaigns of 1066 - released by UK Channel 4 a couple of years ago.  http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/0-9/1066/game/index.htmlEnjoy!  I recommend story mode, and would love to know if the chants used in the game to damage enemy morale are based on any kind of historical reality  :-)

I haven't seen those but I am going to look at them now. Have you played the Bow Street Runner game which is also on the channel 4 website? Its a flash one, can be buggy some times which is unfortunate leaving that aside it is brilliantly done. I very much insist you check it out if you have the time.

Fantastic – thanks Callum!  And a further tip back to you - not history related, but the following C4 game won the best point-and-click games award for 2010.  Easy to see why when you play.  Enjoy!  8)http://www.thecurfewgame.com/play-now.htm

That game is certainly very interesting and well done.
