1) To know what was going through Thomas Telford's mind when he designed the Menai suspension bridge. It's a fantastic bridge, really cutting edge stuff for the 1820's. The design of it and the building of it were (to me) really impressive. 2) to watch, unseen and maybe even from a distance, Alfred at Athelney. If one could see whatever gave rise to the story of the burnt cakes, so much the better.
