I bought the “Vikings” series not so much hoping for education or Entertainment, but a bit of both.  I also have an interest in Vikings being from Minnesota.  We have a  tradition of Viking ancestry because of the Kennsington rune stone found near Alexandria Minnesota.  The thing is covered with runes and purports to be an account of Vikings in the 13th century exploring what is now Minnesota.  The debate of its authenticity is ongoing with some experts, but it must certainly be a hoax considering that the runes read out in almost modern Norwegian.  However, Minnesotans cling dearly to this runestone and the legend.Back to the Vikings series.  Gosh it would have been great, but unfortunately it was written by a couple of college undergrads during their free-time in the cafeteria.Jim
