They've moved hitler and ww2 to H2 and reserved the main history channel for what I generally call the lowest common denominator shows (how else do you explain alien history, pawn stars, swamp people, etc.?)That being said, I look at most of the history channel as entertainment, not education. Want to learn about Viking history? Pick up a book. That being said, shows like this and HBO's Rome do give the popular consumer an intro to the period and maybe sparks some interest.
