And so I watched the first episode last night. I'll skip the points that the article mentioned, such as the fact that there weren't enough executions in medieval Britain for the profession of journeyman executioner to exist, and instead get to the main item that bugged me. Where did peasants, taxed so heavily that they rebelled rather than face starvation, get a hold of those damn fine horses? These weren't even draft animals, to my untrained eye they looked like they were meant to be coursers, i.e. a knight's riding horse.
