But, here in Alberta, we don't actually teach history as a subject, just "Social Sciences" which is a useless mix of 10 different subjects.

Its the same in Australia with 'social sciences' the most ridiculous topic ever- all I remember was a little bit about weather somehow being taught with Ancient Egypt??? I think I learnt more about history through the books we read in English, not to mention in my own reading/research since I fell in love with British History as a 16 year old!!Dont worry Kimberly, you most certainly arent alone with singing to yourself in the car!! When I had a car (back home in aus and before I found podcasts) I always had at least a half hour drive and if I was tired or stressed, singing along to the classics of the 80's and 90's was the only thing that kept me going!!
