All of the “Ealing” comedies are both wonderful and so, so British. Passport to Pimlico, Kind Hearts and Coronets and the Ladykillers are my favorites but there were numerous films put out between 1947 and 1957 by the Ealing Studios that are all fine. Alec Guiness shows up often and that is always a good thing. But maybe I am digressing too far?ee
