Also, has anyone ever seen "Manor House"? It's a reality show from the early 00's where a family and other volunteers go to re-enact an Edwardian manor house. It gets very interesting, has historical explanations for all of their situations and is narrated by none other than Derek Jacobi. It's wonderful.
I watched that PBS show. My public library had that and all the other ones too...Victorian House, Regency House Party and the American ones (Colonial House and Frontier House). Is it wrong that I always got a certain amount of satisfaction watching people talking in the confessional camera about how physically difficult their simulated life was? Who said history was ever easy? ;)
